*YAWN*

Hai~ What a lazy Wednesday.....

Went to have lunch with my Mother in Orchard. I'll never know what my mum really like. Oh well...

We hopped into Sony Gallery and within 10 minutes, I'm signing on a credit card slip for a 5999 LCD TV and a 583 Home theatre system. My mum, the megalomanic impluse buyer. Lucky I asked whether got 0% installment plan *whef*

Wanted to go running but my ankles and knee ache.... ... :(

Holiday exercise plans

*Panic button*

I just went to stand on my school's fat monitor machine and Voila! I've 19.85% fats!!!! That sounds like damn alot lor. I'm a hefty 60kg and 19.85% is...................... 12kg worth of fats! Omigod.

My PE colleague told that I've nothing to worry about since I'm young and it's relatively healthy for women to have so much fats. SO MUCH FATS!!!!

He kennaed whacked to death (or near death) by my cushion.

So I've decided to exercise. I can't diet for more than a day so have to rely on jogging alone. There's just simply too much food around... ... Ok ok I can hear you saying that I have a choice...so can make healthier choice. Oh come on! A toss up between a salad and a waffle with ice cream and maple syrup....which one would you TRULY prefer? Don't bluff!

Went to the gym with jie y-day but spoiled it by wolfing down the above-mentioned waffles and garlic cheese bread (YUM YUM!)

Just complete a tortoise run of 5km in my dingy condo gym. Played 'Whose side wind stronger' badminton with the kids. Told them to go study for next year hahahaha :P

I've a church wedding to attend on Saturday... ... I hope I don't sleep. It's funny attending the wedding of 'not-so-close' friends. Like going to watch a play but you only know one character and have to guess the rest. Well at least there's some audience participation in the forms of Yum sengs and worship hymns.

I've a gazillion things to do. Shall list them down to show you:
  1. Some getting ready for next year school stuff.
  2. Dentist appointment for my yearly check up
  3. Return and borrow library books
  4. Buy Xmas presents
  5. Prepare for HK trip
  6. Tidy my room and wash clothes and bags and shoes
Hai~ The perils of having too much time on your hands starts... ...

Irritants

Officially, I do not need to return to school til Dec 30th. It's the bloody the holidays for crying out loud. Please do not penalise me just because you forgot to tell me what to do and expect that I have no plans for holidays or so. But Idler don't take things lying down. I'm not going back to school because of your oversight. I'm staying put at home (or at Kbox for that matter) and will be emailing the stuff to you.

It too bloody hot and I'm too bloody lazy

Damn

Damn... ... after praising the weather for being all together wonderful, it decides to revert back to its hot sticky state. Singaporean weather like Singaporeans... ... cannot praise one. :(

Anyway, something in the morning told me to pack my googles and swimsuit into my bag. "Just in case," a little thought quipped in my brain. It was fantastic swimming in the pool man... although I only managed 15 laps instaed of the usual 20. Plus the sun was blocked by the clouds in Bishan (the clouds always do that whenever I swim in Bishan) so no tan :)

Am aiming to take a bus to Bishan Park (yes, take a bus cos' the last few times I run to Bishan Park and ran back before I even stepped on the premises of the park) and jog... or at least walk lah.

Madcap adventures

I've just returned from my school's annual retreat. First of all, it was like a "fatten your teachers up" session with its constant barrage of 2 tea breaks, a buffet lunch and a 10 course dinner. I didn't really fancy the food but ended up drinking loads of tea with milk and sugar. Tonight cannot sleep liao... ...

Secondly, the retreat divulges the rare sight of teachers acting worse than students. Telling off coloured jokes, giggling, shouting, laughing and banging tables. Some perform more than 2 acts at one time. It was a fantastic retreat man... hahaha laugh until my sides split. Our table won the 'Noisiest Table of the Year Award" Hahaha and our prizes were whistles that we happily used to signal our triumphant victory.

I'm quite excited about teaching a better class this year... hope to do loads of enrichment activities with them. Might start a forum or blog for them to discuss project work or homework. See how lah! :L

Brrrr.......

It's like winter! For like an eternity of hot sticky mosquito infested weather, Singapore's temperature finally dipped below that blasted 30 degree mark! Hip Hip Hooray for monsoon season! It's like everyone suddenly do all the things that they rarely do and it rains so wonderfully. Opps, sorry for those who need to organise outdoor parties and cafes with alfresco dining (which is simply dumb in Singapore. A perfect example of a loss of practicality for the sake of fashion and doggedness in pursuing a so-called life style. Opps! Forgot about those blasted smokers. Well there's always the void decks under your flats. Humph!)

Anyway, I realised some things about cold weather... ...
  1. It's bloody hell great to sleep in. I bet most of you were heavy-lidded as you stared away from your computer and to the soft drizzling rain outside. No wonder bears and etc hibernate during winter. (What other animal hibernates? Snakes?) It's so undenyingly ... (can't find the word for it so I shall repeat) comfy to sleep in. Whenever, where-ever.
  2. Idler can suddenly cheong 10km on the threadmill instead of the usual measly 3! I thrive in cold weather! Place me in any wintry, frosty country and I can run like there's no tomolo.
  3. Running outside suddenly seems like THE perfect idea. It's just that you are avoiding puddles of murky muddy water instead of carpets of snow or ice.
  4. This cold weather is every Singaporean woman's dream. They can now combine practicality and fashion and adorn themselves with the latest winter and autunm fashion instead of looking stupid wearing a woollen cardi, scarf or boots in the blasted Singapore tropical weather. Pile it up girls (erm not the fats ah....)
  5. With the above thought in mind, I think people tend to eat more in cold weather. So watch it. *Idler guzzling her 5th cup of hot steaming milo with aplomb*

There you have it. I wish that this weather will keep up for at least til Friday. :) For now, I'll just hide under my quilt and snooze... Nights.

What a fine day... ...

What a fine day to play table tennis with 10 primary school kids and lose. Bloody hell they on steriods ah? Move so fast and noisily somemore.

What a fine day to go jogging... ... just had to avoid those murky puddles on the way.

What a fine day for my crazy family to spoil it altogether.

Shopping

Never ever put me and Jie together in a shopping centre... ... or just a shop for that matter.

Phew

Just went to my condo's rundown gym.... ... managed to jog like 6km in 45 minutes.... was actually strolling after 5km at the speed of 6.5.... damn have to do something about my lacklasture stamina and lack of determination. Jie aren't you glad that I didn't join the StandChart marathon run?

All this hard work better pay off.. ... but I'm still 60kg *boo hoo*

Meeting Jie for dinner today since my family abandoned me *boo hoo again*

New News

I'm still reeling in from the shock that our bonus is rumoured to be the same as last year's... oh well better than nothing I guess :)

Anyway, I'm teaching in the morning session next year. That means I must be in bed by 1030pm and be awake by 610am. Oh man oh man oh man. Have to start training my lazy body to wake up before the Mister sun pokes his head out. Oh man Oh man Oh man. Oh and I'm incharge of netball next year. Yes di..short skirts.

Last but not the least, my family just packed its bags and left for my malaysia hometown. No dinner for the next few days booo hoooo...... just the TV, Nissin and me.

Counting

Hahahahahaha!!!!

4 more days til last day of school!

Ah di

No this post is not about Loserboi.

Happily woke up at 830 and changed to go jogging. Wore a cap also because it was bloody hot. As usual I met my Australian tri-althelete neighbour who just came back from a jog from god knows where (maybe Tamoines or Jurong). Anyway, this time I was smart enough to bring a waistpouch containing my EZ Link card (hek hek just in case), a small bottle of water and some money.

Well as usual nearly died of carbon monoxide inhalation on the way to Bishan Park. Then TMD I didn't know that Bishan Park had slopes. I hate slopes whether jogging, cycling or blading. Just blast the bloody hill lah NP! Anyway, completed one bloody round (2.9km) around the park. I distinctly remember got a a few kids whizzing past me on their blades, a few old uncles waving their hands and taking in deep breaths and some other losers (just like me) jogging on a perfectly fine Sunday morning.

Oh haven't explain the title. 3 people including the McDonald's uncle, the bus driver and the magazine uncle called me that. WTF. Just because I'm tall and flat-chested doesn't make me a ah di. TMD.

Nothing to do for the rest of the day. sIANZ.

Dec 14 to 17 ---- Hongkong!

Anyone else has any activity to fill up my gaps? Hek hek hek :P

A Lazy Thursday Afternoon

Today is Marking Day. For those in the know (yes I can see you nodding all knowingly), you will understand the title of this entry. For those who dunnoe wtf is Marking Day read on.

Marking is a day after the exams when the children do not come to school. That is I dun have to entertain those buggers for one day! Whoo hoo! But that also means that instead of strolling to school at noon I have to reach by 730. Wah lau long time never wake up and see no sun liao. Anyway, on this special day, the teachers will all mark the papers together. However to the efficiency of moi, I've finished marking the papers. So I slacked the whole day, trying very hard to find things to do. I cleared my table, arranged my stuff and typed out some bo liao report.

Then I played badminton for 3 hours. Hand ache, back ache, backside ache. Old liao. Wanted to go swim but alas (heng ah) the sky decided to water the plants. Anyway, I'm now back home. Nice day ;)

The whole lot of us.... with bruised buttocks and burnt skin. Oh and that's Ven's "trusty" bike Posted by Picasa

Zooming

That's my mother's word for me this year. She said that I was zooming around.

She said that at this rate I'm travelling, I 'll finish the pages in my passport before it expires... ... not to mention the dwindling balance in my savings account which is, ironically named so hee.

However, I argued that I did not anywhere extravagent. I went to KL, Langkawi, KL (again) HongKong and recently, Malaysia (again). I'm going to KL (again) for Mahjong boot camp and going for a short trip to Hongkong (again) in the December holidays. I'm really praying for a big fat bonus this year :P... ... Go Singapore economy go! Lao Lee said that the economy is getting better. This entails just one message for civil servants like me - - - - more bonus *crossed fingers*

I'm really excited about the Hongkong trip. Am going to do ALL things I did not get to do with Croxxy in June due to the pouring rain and... ... ahem unexpected Esprit warehouse finds. Hope to eat more and do more and not shop the most hahaha *Ven breaking out in cold sweat liao...*

I will be getting your Xmas presents from HK. No requests! Just take what I give muahahahah.

Oh and did I mention a particular upcoming Mayday concert that I will be attending? Gosh no wonder my bank balance never seem to grow. WTF life's short.
