First days of school
Incidentally this entry shares the same title as one of my favourite books. After reading it, I always feel inspired to teach to the best I can. But alas this post ain't anything like the book.
I've just gone through the first 2 days of school and I feel older by 2 months liao. Here's a list of things I need to do by this week which is bloody hell coming to an end soon:
- Teach (yes yes yes surprisingly everyone thinks that the easy part. Never. A good lesson needs tons of preparation)
- CCA 30 week workplan and budget.
- Coordinate standard first aid course for the whole school
- Prepare maths level worksheets for term one
- Prepare Maths and English topical tests
- Decorate netball noticeboard
- Coordinate House practices and teacher duty.
Sometimes I feel cheated that I wasn't PE trained. I'm doing so much PE stuff but since I'm not PE trained, I'm not in the PE department. So I'm relegated to the Maths Department (those who know me might snigger) which means I have to do double the work. Shouldn't be so on with the PE people. Every single camp, practice, competition and event got my big fat 'leg' in it.
And hai~~~ today my P spoke to me about my career path. I told him that I want to take the teaching track and not the leadership track. He kept telling me to go for it and he will give me opportunities to do so. *PANIC BUTTON* more sia kang. Not that I wanna slack or anything, just that I see so many of my colleagues shortchanging their kids due to other commitments. I do not want to do so.
Well the first days of schools.
