My first week of June holidays.....

just pass me by so fast. *sad* I was loaded with all kinds of stuff to do during this week. Plus I was upset many a times by the actions and words of of my fellow teachers. *hai* Where there are humans there will always be conflict, big or small.

Ten things I've learnt this week:
  1. Distillation of flower petals and citrus peels to get essential oils. Laborious procedure or in other words..a pain in the a**.
  2. Guidance counselling - more like a parenting workshop but altogether an informative session. Do you know that boys tend to have more problems adapting to single-parent families than girls. *tsk tsk* Men. And that most of the time people just want a listening ear and not advice.
  3. How to conduct a TAF club camp - was fun but bloody hot! The kids nearly died walking from school to Lower Pierce Reservoir. Me too. Am suffering from the aftermath of the camp, namely sunburn and muscle ache. *pain*
  4. People are not all that nice afterall even if they seem so. This week I totally 'understooded' the meaning of 'a dagger hidden in a smile'.
  5. Badminton can be really fun with people like Darren, Ramesh and Ronald. I couldn't stop laughing. Think of people who wants to smash but miss the shuttle cock, people who serve the shuttlecock under the net 5 times in a row, people who 'siam' the shuttlecock after serving and people who shouts out body parts names when smashing and 2 guys who lost to one female teacher.
  6. Some teachers dress very shabbily.
  7. How to peel one whole orange with a knife w/o breaking the peel.
  8. How to take things easy.
  9. How to say no to others
  10. And how to decorate one's work station with postcards and Teachers' day pressies :)
